BizVoice
/Indiana Chamber –
May/June 2012
President’s Message
We’ve Got It Covered for You
O
K, I admit it – I’m a little prejudiced when it comes
to this publication. Our talented writing and design
team does strong work on a variety of Indiana
Chamber products throughout the year, including
producing this outstanding magazine for our members and the
broader business community.
This issue may well exceed all prior efforts. If you typically read
BizVoice
®
from cover to cover, you’re in for a treat. If you usually
only skim a few key stories or features, I understand (time is a
valuable commodity). But I also encourage you to expand your reading or online viewing
(new fully interactive version at www.bizvoicemagazine.com); you won’t regret it.
Among the interesting articles and analysis:
• The next installment of
Indiana Vision 2025
– Attractive Business Climate – and its
importance for our state’s future
• A review of how we fared on your behalf in the 2012 Indiana General Assembly.
Learn about the big wins and the areas in which more work is required
• Powerful insights from Canada’s leading liaison with Indiana on opportunities and
challenges in this vital relationship
And, of course, we go in-depth with the 2012 Best Places to Work in Indiana winners.
Not only do we highlight some of the leading organizations, but we have them tell you
in their own words (via columns, company quotes and more) about their wonderful
workplaces.
Congratulations to Hollingsworth & Zivitz and Microsoft Corporation for their No. 1
rankings, but we tip our hats to all 70 Best Places to Work companies for taking the
steps necessary to achieve this recognition.
This program has been a true champion throughout its seven-year history. Beyond the
winners, all participants receive valuable feedback – directly from their employees.
Listening, and adjusting where possible, is among the initial steps to making sure your
company is a truly great place to work.
We hope even more Indiana businesses take part in the year ahead.
